Dynamic duo Blicavs and Borlase deliver again

Melbourne 82 @ Dandenong 80
Melbourne (3-0) secured a thrilling 82-80 victory against Dandenong (1-2) at Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre in a contest that featured 15 lead changes.
Sara Blicavs led the Tigers with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Isobel Borlase delivered a stellar all-round performance with 20 points, seven rebounds, and a game-high nine assists. Eve Braslis provided a spark off the bench with 19 points on an efficient 9-from-15 shooting.
Dandenong received strong performances from Georgia Booth (22 points, nine rebounds) and Dallas Loughridge (21 points), but couldn't overcome Melbourne's balanced attack. The Tigers shot a solid 48.5 percent from the field and scored 38 points in the paint to Dandenong's 32. Despite Dandenong's advantage on the boards (42-31), Melbourne's defense forced 16 turnovers and recorded 11 steals to secure the hard-fought win.
Keilor 55 @ Frankston 54
Keilor (2-1) edged Frankston (0-3) 55-54 in a defensive struggle at Keilor Stadium. Kasey Burton powered the Thunder with 18 points on efficient 7-from-15 shooting, including 12 points in the paint. Lily Carmody contributed 12 points and three assists off the bench, while Isobelle Wightman added seven points, five rebounds, and four steals in a well-rounded effort.
Frankston's Bonnie Deas recorded her first double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Louise Brown posted an impressive 15 points and 17 rebounds. Despite dominating the glass (45-34) and shooting better from three-point range (22.7% to 18.2%), the Blues couldn't overcome their 18 turnovers.
The game featured 22 lead changes, with neither team leading by more than six points throughout the tight contest, as Keilor converted 20 points from inside the paint to secure the one-point victory.
Knox @ Sandringham
The Sandringham Sabres secured a hard-fought 79-76 victory against the Knox Raiders at Southern Basketball Stadium. Haylee Andrews was exceptional for Sandringham, pouring in a team-high 22 points while shooting a stellar 5-from-7 from beyond the arc and grabbing seven rebounds. Funda Nakkasoglu added 19 points, while Klara Wischer contributed a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
This back-and-forth contest featured 19 lead changes and five ties, showcasing how evenly matched these teams were. Knox's Paige Bradley delivered an outstanding 24-point performance, connecting on 4-from-8 three-pointers, while Alicia Froling dominated the glass with 16 rebounds and 13 points. Despite outrebounding Sandringham 52-48, Knox couldn't overcome 15 turnovers compared to Sandringham's eight, which the Sabres converted into crucial points down the stretch.
Kilsyth @ Ringwood
The Ringwood Hawks dismantled the Kilsyth Cobras 106-53 at Kilsyth Sports Centre in a completely one-sided affair. Lana Hollingsworth led the Hawks' assault with 21 points on exceptional efficiency, shooting a perfect 5-from-5 on two-point attempts and adding 5-from-5 from the free-throw line. Sarah Elsworthy was equally impressive with 19 points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
Ringwood dominated every facet of the game, shooting 51.9% from the field compared to Kilsyth's dismal 25.4%. The Hawks controlled the paint, outscoring the Cobras 58-20 inside while forcing 24 turnovers that they converted into 22 points. Nikita Young topped the scoring for Kilsyth with 12 points, but the Cobras never led in the contest as Ringwood built a commanding 53-point advantage at one stage.
