Australian point guard William McDowell-White has come back to haunt the team he joined as a teenager after helping lead Alba Berlin to an 86-77 home win over the Bamberg Baskets in the German Bundesliga.
Playing in his second game since the team had several weeks off for the FIBA break, McDowell-White scored 12 points, at 5-from-8 from the field, and dished out three assists while grabbing three rebounds in the victory.
The performance is the 26-year-old Brisbane product's third double-digit scoring game in four matches, which also included a season-high of 23 points against Bayern Munich on February 2.
McDowell-White spent two years with Bamberg, and the club's youth team, between 2017 and 2019, joining them as a 19-year-old after a stint with the Sydney Kings in the NBL.
The former New Zealand Breakers star also gave an exclusive interview to Basketball.com.au recently, where he spoke about overcoming self-doubt in the EuroLeague and also about the potential of returning to the NBL to finish his career with the Brisbane Bullets.
Alba Berlin sit ninth in the German league with a record of 10-10.
