Will's six-assist game not enough in EuroLeague
McDowell-White and Alba Berlin fight hard but lose to Barcelona in EuroLeague.
- William McDowell-White dished out six assists in under 20 minutes for Alba Berlin
- He averages 5.9 points, 3.2 assists and 1.9 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague
- His Alba Berlin team sit at the bottom of the EuroLeague
William McDowell-White continues to show what he can do with the ball in his hands at the highest level, dishing out six assists despite Alba Berlin's 99-85 to Spanish powerhouse Barcelona at Uber Arena in the EuroLeague overnight.
In just under 20 minutes of court time, the Australian point guard impressed while running Alba Berlin's offense but struggled from the field with four points and going 0-from-3 from the three-point line.
His former New Zealand Breakers teammate Yanni Wetzel led the scoring for Alba Berlin with 15 points at an efficient 7-from-8 from the field.
Alba Berlin were on track to upset the EuroLeague heavyweights after a 20-18 first quarter and were still in the game at three-quarter time as Barcelona held a slight 66-64 advantage.
But the visitors dominated the last quarter 33-21 to send Alba Berlin to a record of 4-24 to sit last in the league.
McDowell-White's performance comes after an impressive return to the German league earlier in the week, scoring 12 points in a win against his former team, Bamberg.
