Perth 96 @ Perry Lakes 91
Perth secured a narrow 96-91 win against Perry Lakes at Bendat Basketball Centre in a game featuring 19 lead changes as Anneli Maley delivered a monstrous performance with 37 points and 23 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass.
Maley also added six steals while Natalie Chou contributed 24 points and went a perfect 13-from-13 from the free throw line for Perth.
The game was a tale of contrasting styles, with Perth earning 42 free throw attempts compared to just 12 for Perry Lakes. Alex Fowler led the Hawks with an efficient 27 points on 73.3% shooting and 10 rebounds, while Samantha Whitcomb added 23 points, eight assists and five steals despite committing nine turnovers.
Perth's offensive rebounding proved decisive, grabbing 25 offensive boards that led to 18 second-chance points.
Lakeside 86 @ SW Slammers 77
Lakeside powered past SW Slammers 86-77 at Eaton Rec Centre behind Oceane Kounkou's outstanding 26-point performance, including six triples.
Teige Morrell delivered a commanding double-double with 23 points and 23 rebounds while dishing seven assists in a stellar all-round effort. The Flames dominated the glass with a commanding 58-32 rebounding advantage that proved decisive.
Samantha Lubcke added another double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds for Lakeside. The Slammers were led by Cayla King, who scored 24 points on 46.2% shooting, including a red-hot 6-from-9 from three-point range, while Mykea Gray contributed 19 points in the loss.
East Perth 87 @ Eastern Suns 64
East Perth dominated Eastern Suns 87-64 at Ray Owen Sports Centre with a balanced attack led by Sasha Goodlett's 22-point, 10-rebound double-double.
The Eagles seized control early and maintained a comfortable lead throughout, extending their advantage to as many as 28 points.
Madison Torresin added 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Abby Cubilo contributed 17 points, seven assists, and six rebounds for East Perth. The Suns struggled offensively, shooting just 38.9% from the field and 14.3% from three-point range. Karly Murphy was a bright spot for Eastern Suns with 25 points on 52.4% shooting and 10 rebounds in the loss.
Rockingham 54 @ Willetton 81
Willetton dominated Rockingham 81-54 at Willetton Basketball Stadium behind Zitina Aokuso's stellar 21-point, 10-rebound performance.
The Tigers controlled the glass with a commanding 59-37 rebounding advantage, including 21 offensive boards that led to 12 second-chance points. Ajulu Thatha recorded a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds, while Desiree Kelley stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 12 rebounds, and six steals.
The Tigers' defence was stifling, holding the Flames to just 29.2% shooting, including a dismal 3-from-23 from beyond the arc. Alexandra Sharp led Rockingham with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
Joondalup 81 @ Warwick 98
Warwick overwhelmed Joondalup 98-81 at HBF Arena Joondalup behind Natalie Burton's dominant 23-point, 11-rebound performance.
Burton was nearly unstoppable inside, shooting 73.3% from the field while collecting seven offensive rebounds and turning them into 12 second-chance points. Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard and Chloe Forster each contributed 18 points for the Senators, with Stacey Barr adding a 12-point, 13-rebound double-double.
Joondalup was led by Ella Thornton-Elliott's 20 points, including four triples, but was outrebounded 62-27 in a lopsided battle on the glass. Stefanie Berberabe recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists in the loss.
