Five Australians and two NBL Next Stars have lodged their intent with the NBA for the upcoming draft

  • Six Australians have declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, most recently being Queenslander Rocco Zikarsky
  • Two international Next Stars have declared
  • 106 players in total have filed early entry, and can withdraw by late May to retain NCAA eligibility

The NBA has annoucned that 106 players have filed as early entry candidates for NBA Draft 2025, which will be held on Thursday, June 26 (First Round) and Friday June 27 (Second Round) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Players who have applied for early entry have the right to withdraw their names from consideration for the Draft by notifying the NBA of their decision in writing no later than Monday, June 16. Under NCAA rules, in order to retain college basketball eligibility, college players who have entered NBA Draft 2025 must withdraw by Thursday, May 29.

Ben Henshall: Perth (Australia) (6-5, 2004 DOB)

Alex Toohey: Sydney (Australia) (6-7, 2004 DOB)

Rocco Zikarsky: Brisbane (Australia) (7-2, 2006 DOB)

Lachlan Olbrich: Illawarra (Australia) (6-10, 2003 DOB)

International Next Stars who have declared

Izan Almansa: Perth Wildcats (6-10, 2005 DOB)

Malique Lewis: SE Melbourne (6-8, 2004 DOB)

The NBA Draft is June 26 and 27, 2025. Summer League starts on July 11.
