Bankstown vs Inner West
Kristina Moore led Inner West to an 84-77 win against Bankstown at Bankstown Basketball Stadium, tallying 27 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Moore was outstanding from the charity stripe, going 10-of-12, while Tylah Mundine (15 points, eight boards) and Tahlia Tupaea (14 points, six boards, 10-of-10 free throws) provided crucial support. For Bankstown, Kiahna Davis-White’s 16 points (3 triples), Sienna Tutani’s 15 points (7-from-11 FG), and Shalome Dunlop’s 13 kept the hosts in the contest.
The match featured 17 lead changes and remained close until Inner West used an 11-point run to seize control late. Inner West dominated the glass with 40 rebounds to Bankstown’s 30 and converted 87.5% at the foul line. Despite 21 turnovers, Inner West’s efficient shooting and composure in the fourth quarter proved decisive. Bankstown’s next challenge is Central Coast, while Inner West faces Manly Warringah.
Sydney vs Norths Bears
Carla Pitman delivered a dominant 25-point, seven-rebound performance as Norths Bears cruised past Sydney 84-64 at Comets Stadium. Emma Donnelly (12 points) and Holly Wills (11 points, three triples) chipped in as Norths Bears cleaned the glass with 54 rebounds and poured in 52 points in the paint. For Sydney, Abigail Curtin was superb with a 30-point, 12-rebound double-double, while Kelly Chasse added 14 points on 46.2% shooting.
Norths Bears controlled the contest from the second quarter, building a 24-point lead at one stage. Sydney struggled from deep, hitting just two-from-23 (8.7%), and committed 21 turnovers, hampering any comeback hopes. The Bears’ all-round effort and dominance inside secured their position near the top of the standings.
Hornsby KuRingGai vs Maitland
Sydney Hunter detonated for 31 points and 16 rebounds, steering Maitland to a 91-71 win against Hornsby KuRingGai at Maitland Federation Centre. Hunter was on fire, shooting 10-from-17 from the field and 8-of-10 from the foul line. Shakera Reilly added 19 points, including five triples, and Alexis Plater contributed 15 points and six boards. For Hornsby KuRingGai, Lucy Mead and Ay’Anna Bey each scored 14.
Maitland’s 12 triples (32.4%) and 47-42 rebounding edge fuelled their attack. A decisive 22-point lead in the second half was built on second-chance points (16) and a strong defensive effort that forced 21 turnovers. The result keeps Maitland in contention, while Hornsby KuRingGai will look to rebound in their next outing.
Illawarra vs Sutherland
Ella Dent erupted for 29 points, draining seven triples on 77.8% shooting, as Illawarra powered past Sutherland 88-75 at Sutherland Basketball Stadium. Kiara Bell posted a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards, while Tsubasa Nisbet added 13 points and six rebounds. For Sutherland, Aliza Fabbro led with 22 points (five triples), and Madeleine Norris tallied 19.
Illawarra shot a blistering 50% from outside the arc (12-from-24) and dominated the boards 49-34. The visitors used a 17-point run to seize a 17-point lead and never trailed again, despite 21 lead changes overall. Sutherland’s 10 triples kept them close but could not match Illawarra’s firepower and rebounding.
Canberra vs BA CoE
Sitaya Fagan starred with 26 points and 10 rebounds as BA CoE defeated Canberra 83-68 at Belconnen Basketball Stadium. Isabel Smith (16 points, 50% FG) and Zara Russell (13 points) provided strong support, while Emilija Dakic dished out five dimes. For Canberra, Carlie Smith notched a 21-point, 15-rebound double-double, and Abby Solway added 19 points.
BA CoE’s balanced attack and 45.7% shooting proved too much for Canberra, who struggled from outside (four-from-30, 13.3%). The hosts built a 17-point lead and maintained control through defensive stops and five blocks. Canberra’s 21 offensive rebounds led to 13 second-chance points, but BA CoE’s superior efficiency and depth sealed the win.
