Central Districts @ Forestville
Dejan Vasiljevic detonated for 38 points on an outstanding 57.9% shooting, adding nine rebounds and four assists as Forestville dominated Central Districts 103-78 at State Basketball Centre (Wayville). Daniel Johnson contributed 18 points and seven boards, while Alexander Starling delivered a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Efemena Abogidi led Central Districts with 21 points, shooting 72.7% from the field.
Forestville’s all-round effort was highlighted by a 47-36 rebounding advantage and 12 steals, while Central Districts struggled to control the ball, committing 20 turnovers. The Eagles’ defensive intensity and fastbreak execution (21 points on the break) broke the contest open after 14 early lead changes. Forestville remain a top contender, while Central Districts look to regroup before facing West Adelaide.
Woodville @ Norwood
Tim Troussel powered Woodville to a hard-fought 93-87 win against Norwood at The ARC Campbelltown, scoring 26 points on a blistering 73.3% from the field and collecting eight boards. Joe Jackson added a 20-point, 12-rebound double-double, while Nick Wurm chipped in 13 points. Norwood’s Cooper Osborne was superb with 34 points (57.9% FG, 5-from-8 threes) and six rebounds, and Walter McBride dished out 11 dimes to go with 18 points.
Woodville’s dominance inside (56 points in the paint, 50 rebounds) proved the difference, overcoming Norwood’s 11 triples. The Warriors used a 14-0 run to seize control in the second half and withstood a late Flames rally. Woodville’s balanced attack and second-chance points (22) keep them in the upper tier of the ladder.
South Adelaide @ Mavericks
Dominic Jackson starred for the Mavericks with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and four triples as the hosts secured a 77-69 win against South Adelaide at Mitchell Park Sports and Community Centre. Broderick Robinson added 17 points and BJ Symons contributed 10 points and seven boards. South Adelaide’s Daniel Smith was outstanding, tallying 17 points on 8-from-9 shooting and grabbing nine boards, while Lloyd McVeigh and Chris Brandon added 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Both teams struggled from outside (Mavs 25% threes, Panthers 15.6%), but the Mavericks’ 13 offensive rebounds and 19 assists made the difference in a contest with 15 lead changes. The win lifts the Mavericks’ spirits as they prepare for a tough clash with Norwood.
Sturt @ North Adelaide
Ben Griscti delivered a dominant double-double, racking up 29 points (70.6% FG, 3-from-5 threes) and 16 rebounds as Sturt closed out North Adelaide 90-77 at Springbank Secondary College. Sharif Black and Patrick D’Arcy each added 13 points, with Sturt’s bench providing a key 24-point contribution. North Adelaide’s Bijan Johnson had 26 points and seven assists, while Koop McCalop scored 15 points on 75% shooting.
Sturt’s 53 boards (including 20 offensive) and 11 triples were decisive, helping them overturn 26 lead changes. North Adelaide’s 17 turnovers and poor free-throw shooting (65.5%) proved costly. The Sabres’ full team effort keeps their momentum rolling into their match-up with Woodville.
West Adelaide @ Southern Tigers
Jarvis Doles led the Southern Tigers to a 89-77 win against West Adelaide at Port Adelaide Recreation Centre with 23 points on a scorching 71.4% shooting, including 3-from-4 from outside, and nine rebounds. Harry Morris added 18 points and nine boards, while Jarvis Summers scored 17 with five assists. For West Adelaide, Keanu Rasmussen matched with 26 points (68.75% FG), and Jacob Tryon and Lat Mayen contributed 18 and 17 points, respectively.
The Tigers’ efficiency (48.5% FG), defensive rebounding, and 16-for-24 from the foul line proved decisive. West Adelaide’s 15 turnovers and limited bench production (four points) stymied their comeback hopes in a game that featured 23 lead changes. Southern Tigers’ win keeps them in the thick of the playoff race.
