Diana Taurasi has been the face of the WNBA for nearly two decades as the league's all-time leading scorer and one of its most decorated players. Since being drafted first overall by the Phoenix Mercury in 2004, Taurasi has dominated the league with her scoring prowess, playmaking ability, and championship pedigree.

Career Snapshot

Taurasi hit the ground running as a rookie, winning Rookie of the Year in 2004. She quickly established herself as one of the WNBA's elite players, leading the league in scoring five times between 2006-2011. Taurasi has powered the Mercury to three WNBA championships in 2007, 2009 and 2014, earning Finals MVP honours in 2009 and 2014.

Playing Style

An explosive scorer from all areas of the court, Taurasi is most dangerous as a perimeter shooter with unlimited range. Her quick release and ability to score in bunches make her nearly impossible to shut down for a full game. Taurasi is also an excellent passer and floor general who makes her teammates better.
