Tasmania JackJumpers guard Sean Macdonald is out for the rest of the NBL25 season and with him goes +6.7 points per game — a significant blow to the defending NBL champions.
Macdonald suffered a foot injury in the team's Round 15, 89-84 loss to the Illawarra Hawks on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
The 188cm 24-year-old guard played nine games in NBL25 after recovering from a shoulder injury he sustained in the pre-season.
Tasmania's record with Macdonald was 7-2 and 4-8 without.
White had back-to-back +14 performances in wins against the New Zealand Breakers and Brisbane Bullets. The only game he didn't have a +/- was against the surging South East Melbourne Phoenix on January 5, 2025 in Round 15.
He averaged 11.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists. Macdonald, despite injuring his foot, put up his season high of 19 against Illawarra as the JackJumpers dropped their second straight on January 7, 2025.
