The NBA Champion and 2019 NBL MVP will be a columnist and regular contributor for basketball.com.au.

Basketball.com.au is excited to welcome Australian basketball legend Andrew Bogut to the team as a columnist and contributor for the platform.

The 2015 NBA Champion, 2019 NBL MVP, three-time Olympian and current Sydney Kings co-owner will bring his unique perspective from experiences across all levels of elite basketball both in Australia and internationally.

Bogut is one of the biggest voices in Australian basketball after a 15-year professional career, where he played with some of the world's greatest players such as Stephen Curry, before retiring from the game in 2020. He will also be inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025 in a ceremony in Bahrain this May.

NBL legend and commentator Lanard Copeland will also be a regular contributor throughout the NBL playoffs, offering insights into a league he has been involved with for more than three decades, which included two championships and a Grand Final MVP in 1997.

"We're absolutely thrilled to welcome Australian basketball icons Andrew Bogut and Lanard Copeland to our team, bringing their unmatched expertise and insider perspectives to Basketball.com.au," said Basketball.com.au General Manager Anthony Alsop.

"Their additions complement an existing strong lineup of contributors covering women's basketball, collegiate and scouting, as well as youth basketball that is elevating how Australians engage with the game at all levels."

Eagle-eyed NBL fans will also be able to spot basketball.com.au advertising during the NBL Finals Series. There will be content integrations across NBL Overtime, NBL Finals Pre-game show, NBL Now podcast, and prominently placed below a new top-of-backboard camera that will debut during the Finals.

Basketball.com.au has officially launched as Australia's most comprehensive digital destination for basketball news, views, reviews, video on demand, highlights, schedules, scores, and statistics.

Built by Australians for Australians, the platform focuses on Australian talent competing in the world's greatest leagues including the NBA, WNBA, NBL, WNBL, NCAA, and European competitions, as well as national teams such as the Boomers and Opals, and domestic NBL1 competition.

With more than 180 Australians currently playing professional and collegiate basketball in the United States, Basketball.com.au aims to keep the millions of Australian basketball fans informed about their favourite players and teams.

Alongside regular contributors in women’s basketball expert Hayley Wildes, youth basketball expert and scout Mike Houben, and youth-oriented content creators Baseline Hoops, Basketball.com.au and @BouncePass are assembling a formidable line-up of Basketball commentators.

"Basketball.com.au is set to become the definitive destination for Australian basketball, providing comprehensive coverage of the game at every level," Alsop said.
