Frankston 108 def Diamond Valley 91 — Watch the Replay
Kingsley Box delivered an explosive 29-point performance as Frankston overpowered Diamond Valley 108-91 at Diamond Valley Sports & Fitness Centre. Box was outstanding from the field, shooting an efficient 68.8% while adding five rebounds. Taane Samuel contributed 26 points including three triples on 50% shooting from deep, and Michael Harris added 19 points with five three-pointers.
Frankston dominated inside, outscoring Diamond Valley 58-42 in the paint and winning the rebound battle 49-44. The Blues shot a stellar 56% from the field compared to Diamond Valley's 38.5%. Noah Todd led the way for the Eagles with 22 points and five rebounds, while Ryley Haywood added 18 points despite struggling from the field (29.2%). The victory was built on Frankston's superior shooting efficiency, with the Blues connecting on 70.5% of their two-point attempts.
Sandringham 101 def Bendigo 74 — Watch the Replay
Ben Ayre orchestrated a dominant victory for Sandringham, recording a double-double with 18 points and 11 assists as the Sabres crushed Bendigo 101-74 at Southern Basketball Stadium. Malith Machar contributed 17 points on efficient shooting (5-of-10 from the field), while Fabijan Krslovic added a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Sandringham controlled the glass, outrebounding Bendigo 54-33, and dominated inside with a 50-28 advantage in points in the paint. The Sabres shot 46.8% from the field, including a solid 43.5% from three-point range. Lual Diing was the standout for Bendigo with 23 points, eight rebounds, and four steals, but his seven turnovers proved costly. Bendigo's offense struggled against Sandringham's stifling defense, managing just 38.2% shooting from the field in a lacklustre overall performance.
Ballarat 79 def Casey 73 — Watch the Replay
Nicholas Stoddart delivered a stellar performance with 25 points and five steals to lead Ballarat to a hard-fought 79-73 win against Casey at Casey Stadium. Stoddart was efficient from the field, shooting 58.8% including 8-of-11 from two-point range, while Luke Rosendale added 19 points, connecting on all three of his three-point attempts.
The tightly contested matchup featured 24 lead changes and 11 ties, with Ballarat finally securing the victory through superior fast break scoring (10-5) and points off turnovers (14-6). Preston Bungei led Casey with 19 points and three assists, while Nate Roberts recorded a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Despite Roberts' dominance on the glass, Casey struggled with ball control, committing 20 turnovers that proved decisive in the close contest.
Eltham 85 def Geelong 61 — Watch the Replay
Samuel Whelan delivered an outstanding performance with 21 points on an efficient 6-from-9 shooting from beyond the arc as Eltham dominated Geelong 85-61 at The Geelong Arena. Mitchell McCarron was exceptional with a near triple-double of 16 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, controlling the game with his playmaking and shooting 6-from-7 from the field.
Eltham's defense was suffocating, holding Geelong to just 34.3 per cent shooting from the field while connecting on 50.8 per cent of their own attempts. Xavier Bledson added 12 points off the bench for the visitors who dominated the rebounding battle 49-29. Tristan Forsyth led Geelong with 17 points and nine rebounds, but the home team struggled throughout, never leading during the contest.
Nunawading 89 def Keilor 78 — Watch the Replay
Tristan Devers scored a team-high 19 points as Nunawading secured an 89-78 home victory against Keilor at Nunawading Basketball Centre. Brian Mack II recorded an impressive double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Christian D'Angelo added 14 points. The Spectres were efficient from the field, shooting 52.5 per cent overall and 37 per cent from three-point range.
Jayce Beasley led all Keilor scorers with 20 points including 3-from-7 from deep, while Daniel Foster contributed 16 points on efficient 7-from-11 shooting. Despite forcing 15 Nunawading turnovers, Keilor couldn't overcome the rebounding deficit (43-29) and struggled with their outside shooting, connecting on just 28 per cent of their three-point attempts. The game featured 23 lead changes before Nunawading pulled away in the closing stages.
Knox 92 def by Ballarat 95 — Watch the Replay
Luke Rosendale exploded for 21 points including 5-from-9 from three-point range as Ballarat edged Knox 95-92 at State Basketball Centre. Dayne Prim delivered a standout performance with 26 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals, while Zac Dunmore added 18 points on perfect 4-from-4 shooting from beyond the arc.
Knox's Keli Leaupepe was exceptional in defeat, pouring in 31 points with 10 rebounds on 64.7 per cent shooting from the field, including a stellar 5-from-6 from three-point range. Tad Dufelmeier recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds while adding five assists. The tightly contested battle featured seven lead changes, with Ballarat's hot shooting from distance (46.2 per cent on 18-from-39) proving the difference despite Knox's strong inside presence.
Dandenong 112 def NW Tasmania 103 — Watch the Replay
Sam Davidson delivered a stellar 28-point performance as Dandenong defeated North West Tasmania 112-103 at Mazda BT-50 Thunder Stadium. Davidson shot an impressive 5-from-9 from beyond the arc and a perfect 7-from-7 from the free throw line, while Justin Bieker contributed 20 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals on efficient 87.5 per cent shooting from the field.
Tre Armstrong led the visitors with 30 points on a remarkable 8-from-14 from three-point range, while Anok Magot added 20 points. The Thunder shot well at 53.7 per cent from the field, but Dandenong's 57.1 per cent three-point shooting (16-from-28) and 18 fastbreak points proved too much to overcome. The Rangers dominated from the start, never trailing and leading by as many as 22 points during the contest.
Melbourne 102 def Waverley 99 — Watch the Replay
Thomas Wilson scored a game-high 32 points as Melbourne edged Waverley 102-99 in a thrilling contest at Waverley Basketball Centre. Wilson was exceptional, shooting 11-from-18 from the field and a perfect 7-from-7 from the free throw line, while Harrison Froling recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Michael Wearne added 17 points for the visitors.
Waverley's Malik Meunier was outstanding with 28 points, seven rebounds, nine assists and five steals, while Mason Forbes posted a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds, including seven offensive boards. The back-and-forth game featured 30 lead changes and 12 ties, with Melbourne's superior three-point shooting (44.4 per cent compared to Waverley's 23.8 per cent) proving decisive in the final minutes. The Tigers led for just over 20 minutes of the contest, holding off a late Falcons surge to secure the win.
