Stacey Barr exploded for 31 points as Warwick crushed Rockingham 104-68 at Mike Barnett Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon. The dynamic guard was on fire, shooting an exceptional 64.7% from the field including 5-from-10 from beyond the arc, while adding eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Chloe Forster contributed 21 points, five rebounds, and six assists, while Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard added 16 points including 4-from-9 from three-point range.
Despite the lopsided result, Rockingham's Alexandra Sharp fought valiantly, recording a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Alexandra Ciabattoni added 14 points and six rebounds, but Rockingham struggled mightily from the field, shooting a dismal 30.7% overall and just 24.3% from three-point territory. Warwick dominated inside, outscoring Rockingham 40-26 in the paint while forcing 18 turnovers that they converted into 13 points. The victory strengthens Warwick's position in the NBL1 West Women's standings as they prepare to face Willetton in Round 14.
East Perth 80 def Lakeside 64 — Watch the Replay
Sasha Goodlett delivered a masterful performance with 22 points on stellar 78.6% shooting as East Perth defeated Lakeside 64-80 at Lakeside Recreation Centre. The dominant centre added eight rebounds and three assists while proving unstoppable inside, scoring 14 points in the paint. Tessa Stewart Morrison contributed 18 points and Taylor Roberts added 16 points, including an impressive 5-from-9 from three-point range.
Lakeside's Teige Morrell posted a massive double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds in the losing effort, shooting an efficient 47.1% from the field and adding four assists. Samantha Lubcke chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds, but Lakeside struggled collectively, shooting just 34.9% from the field compared to East Perth's 46.7%. East Perth's disciplined approach was evident in their 19 assists to just 11 turnovers, while their defense forced 15 Lakeside turnovers. The victory extends East Perth's strong run as they prepare to face Goldfields in Round 14 next weekend.
Cockburn 111 def Lakeside 32 — Watch the Replay
Cockburn delivered one of the most dominant performances in NBL1 West history, crushing Lakeside 111-32 at Wally Hagan Stadium. Sarah Mortensen was outstanding with 26 points, eight rebounds and six steals while shooting an efficient 58.8% from the field. Ruby Porter added 24 points including 5-from-6 from three-point range, while Jewel Williams contributed 17 points with 4-from-7 from beyond the arc as Cockburn shot a blistering 56.2% from three-point territory.
The Flames' defense was equally impressive, forcing 33 turnovers and holding Lakeside to a dismal 21.3% shooting from the field, including just 2-from-25 from three-point range. Lakeside's Teige Morrell fought valiantly with 16 points and 11 rebounds but received little support as Cockburn's lead ballooned to 81 points. Daniel Raber (12 points, 10 rebounds) and Stephanie Gorman (10 points, six assists, five steals) were also influential in the comprehensive victory that showcased Cockburn's status as championship contenders.
Rockingham 88 def Joondalup 65 — Watch the Replay
The Rockingham Flames secured a convincing 88-65 victory against the Joondalup Wolves at HBF Arena Joondalup behind Alexandra Ciabattoni's stellar 24-point performance. Ciabattoni was efficient, shooting 11-from-22 from the field, while Alexandra Sharp contributed a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Jessica Jakens added 14 points as the Flames shot 46.7% from the field and dominated inside with 52 points in the paint.
Despite the loss, Joondalup's Maddie Sutton delivered an impressive double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds, including six offensive boards. Kurstyn Harden added 11 points on 66.7% shooting, while Jorjah Smith contributed 10 points. The contest featured 18 lead changes and nine ties, but Rockingham's 16-0 scoring run in the third quarter proved decisive. The Flames' balanced attack, featuring 25 assists and strong rebounding (51-38 advantage), helped them pull away for their third consecutive victory, strengthening their position in the NBL1 West standings.
