Ipswich Force 89 def Brisbane Capitals 82 — Watch the Replay
Kahlaijah Dean delivered a dominant performance with 30 points as the Ipswich Force defeated the Brisbane Capitals 89-82 at Auchenflower Stadium. Dean was on fire, shooting an impressive 59.1% from the field while adding nine assists without a single turnover. Hannah Young contributed a stellar 24 points on 57.1% shooting, while Elissa Brett secured a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Brisbane's Ashley Arlen produced an exceptional effort with 29 points, eight assists, and 16 rebounds. Grace Ellis added a double-double with 24 points and 14 boards, including seven offensive rebounds. The Force built a 15-point lead during the contest and maintained control throughout, shooting a solid 42.5% from the field compared to Brisbane's 37.7%. Ipswich's ball security proved crucial, committing just seven turnovers against Brisbane's 14.
Northside Wizards 85 def Gold Coast Rollers 75 — Watch the Replay
Cierra Walker exploded for 30 points, including six three-pointers, as the Northside Wizards defeated the Gold Coast Rollers 85-75 at Carrara Stadium. Walker was outstanding, shooting 52.2% from the field and a sizzling 60% from beyond the arc. Erin Harvey added 15 points, while Saskia Gunness secured a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The Rollers had a balanced attack with Nyah Morris, Emma Petrie, and Juna Umezawa each scoring 15 points. Northside's superior outside shooting made the difference, connecting on 45.5% of their three-point attempts compared to Gold Coast's 25%. The Wizards led for over 32 minutes and built their advantage to as many as 18 points. Despite Gold Coast's strong effort on the offensive glass (19 offensive rebounds), they couldn't overcome Northside's efficient offense and 11 lead changes highlighted the competitive nature of the contest.
Logan Thunder 76 def Sunshine Coast Phoenix 71 — Watch the Replay
Leah Scott powered the Logan Thunder to a hard-fought 76-71 victory over the Sunshine Coast Phoenix at Bendigo Bank Cornubia Park Sports Centre. Scott was exceptional, scoring 23 points on remarkable 80% shooting while adding eight rebounds. Amandine Toi contributed 16 points, and Mikhaela Cann recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Sunshine Coast's Jessica Boundy and Shannon Ryan each scored 20 points, with Ryan adding 13 rebounds for a double-double. The Phoenix dominated the glass with a 51-35 rebounding advantage, including 18 offensive boards. However, Logan's defense forced 22 turnovers while committing only 16 of their own, leading to a 13-2 advantage in points off turnovers. The closely contested match featured 18 lead changes and eight ties, with Logan eventually pulling away in the final minutes behind Scott's efficient performance.
