Five Australians declared for the 2025 NBA Draft and four were selected: Rocco Zikarsky with the 45th pick, Tyrese Proctor with the 49th pick, Alex Toohey with the 52 pick by the Phoenix Suns and Lachlan Olbrich with pick 55, which ties the most Aussies drafted with the 1997 draft, when Chris Anstey, Paul Rogers, Ben Pepper, and CJ. Bruton were all selected.
Zikarsky is going to the Minnesota Timberwolves and Proctor to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Illawarra Hawks forward Olbrich was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 55th pick via the Los Angeles Lakers.
Shortly after the draft, Tasmanian sharpshooter Reyne Smith signed a Summer League contract with the Denver Nuggets.

Duke Blue Devils superstar Cooper Flagg, the teammate of Australian second round draft pick Tyrese Proctor, was the first pick in the 2025 NBA Draft yesterday (June 26, 2025) at Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York.
Flagg, 18, was selected by the Dallas Mavericks. He joins All-NBA superstar Anthony Davis and potential Australian Boomers guard Kyrie Irving when he returns from injury. Flagg is the youngest player in the 2025 Draft.
