Melbourne 89 def Knox 86 — Watch the Replay

Thomas Wilson delivered a spectacular 42-point performance as Melbourne secured a hard-fought 89-86 win against Knox at Dandenong Basketball Stadium. Wilson was on fire, shooting an outstanding 14-from-21 from the field, including a remarkable 8-from-11 from three-point range. Michael Wearne added 18 points, while Harrison Froling contributed 15 points and seven rebounds for Melbourne.

The contest featured 34 lead changes, with Melbourne overcoming Knox's 11-point advantage at one stage. Despite Knox controlling the boards 46-33, Melbourne's efficiency from deep proved decisive, connecting on 17-from-38 three-pointers (44.7%). Tad Dufelmeier led Knox with 22 points and five steals, while Norvel Pelle registered a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds on 8-from-11 shooting.

Sandringham 95 def Mt Gambier 87 — Watch the Replay

Ben Ayre exploded for 38 points as Sandringham defeated Mt Gambier 95-87 at Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre. Ayre was exceptional, shooting 11-from-18 from the field and 12-from-13 from the charity stripe, while adding five assists. Fabijan Krslovic posted a dominant double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, including six offensive boards.

Mt Gambier's Titus Robinson delivered 24 points, connecting on 6-from-8 from downtown in a stellar shooting display. Alex Mudronja added 19 points on 53.3% shooting, but the Pioneers couldn't overcome Sandringham's dominance on the glass, where they held a commanding 44-24 rebounding advantage. The Sabres built their lead to as many as 23 points and capitalised on 14 second-chance points to secure the victory.
