Giddey's near triple-double magic stuns Orlando
How Australians performed in the NBA on March 7, 2025
- Josh Giddey was on triple-double watch, recording 19 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists in Chicago's win
- Dyson Daniel's steals tally for the season increased to 173
- Jock Landale was a DNP Coach's Decision in Houstin's win over New Orleans
Josh Giddey and Coby White have dispelled the Orlando Magic as the dynamic backcourt starred to lead the Chicago Bulls to a nailbiting 125-123 win at the Kia Center.
Giddey was on triple-double watch once again, scoring 19 points while also recording 13 rebounds and nine assists but it was White who stole the show with 44 points for Chicago.
The Bulls started strong with 33 points in the first quarter but trailed by two as Orlando posted 35 but Chicago found their rhythm in the second period, outscoring the Magic 36-31 to take a 69-66 lead into halftime. Orlando responded with a 35-point third quarter to reclaim the advantage 101-96 heading into the final period.
White and Giddey proved too good for Orlando in the fourth, helping Chicago closed out the game with a 29-22 final 12 minutes to secure the two-point victory.
White's stellar performance included going 16-from-28 from the field with seven three-pointers with his scoring outburst arriving when the Bulls needed it most, helping Chicago overcome a five-point deficit entering the fourth quarter. Giddey's playmaking and court vision were instrumental in setting up teammates and creating scoring opportunities throughout the contest.
The Magic struggled from beyond the arc, shooting a dismal 27.3 percent (9-from-33) compared to Chicago's solid 37.5 percent (15-from-40) with the shooting disparity proving crucial in the Bulls' win.
Indiana Pacers @ Atlanta Hawks
Dyson Daniels' red-hot form for the Atlanta Hawks has continued after scoring 17 points while also dishing out five assists and grabbing five rebounds in his team's 124-118 win over the Indiana Pacers at State Farm Arena.
Daniels also recorded one steal for the Hawks to take his tally for the season to 173. Georges Niang was the leading scorer for Atlanta with 24 points while Pascal Siakam had 35 points for Indiana.
Johnny Furphy received a DNP Coach's Decision for the Pacers.

Landale's DNP comes after some impressive performances in recent weeks, including even starting one game.
Five players scored in double figures for the Rockets, led by All-Star Alperen Sengun with 22 points. Trey Murphy III had 26 points for the Pelicans.
