Doyle's Sharpshooting Seals Victory

Milton Doyle put on a shooting clinic for the JackJumpers, connecting on 8 of 11 attempts from beyond the arc en route to a game-high 32 points. The import guard saved his best for last, draining three clutch three-pointers in the final minutes to propel Tasmania to victory.

"The silent assassin ... he was all-in at both ends of the floor, which I love," JackJumpers coach Scott Roth said of Doyle's performance.

"Last week he was controlling the game and this game we needed him to score."

Doyle's heroics helped Tasmania overcome a blistering start from Brisbane, who raced out to a 17-3 lead in the opening minutes.

The Bullets maintained control for much of the contest before Doyle caught fire late, hitting triples to erase an 86-80 deficit in the final 2:30.

Returnees Boost JackJumpers

Tasmania's comeback was bolstered by strong performances from Will Magnay and Sean Macdonald in their returns from injury. Magnay finished with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals, while Macdonald dished out 7 assists to go with 7 points in his season debut.

The win improves Tasmania's record to 5-8 heading into the FIBA break, giving the defending champions some positive momentum. For Brisbane, the loss drops them to 3-6 despite shooting 50% from the field as a team.

Keandre Cook led the Bullets with 23 points and 5 steals, including 6 three-pointers. Tyrell Harrison added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the losing effort.

The JackJumpers now have an extended break before their next game, while Brisbane faces a quick turnaround with a home matchup against the Perth Wildcats on Sunday.
