Ipswich Force vs Logan Thunder — Watch the Replay
The Logan Thunder defeated the Ipswich Force 93-78 at JBS Stadium on Saturday night, powered by outstanding performances from Amandine Toi and Leah Scott. Toi delivered 27 points on efficient 9-from-17 shooting, including 5-from-11 from beyond the arc, while Scott contributed 25 points on a stellar 9-from-15 shooting with five assists and seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Ipswich's Kahlaijah Dean produced a game-high 27 points along with five assists, while Anna Bassett added 15 points, including 5-from-11 from three-point range. The Thunder controlled the glass with a 45-33 rebounding advantage, led by Prasayus Notoa's double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds. Logan's excellent three-point shooting (14-from-33, 42.4%) proved decisive, as they maintained a lead for over 35 minutes of game time and pushed their advantage to as many as 25 points.
SW Metro Pirates vs Mackay Meteors — Watch the Replay
The Mackay Meteors overpowered the SW Metro Pirates 99-83 at Mackay Basketball Stadium on Saturday, fuelled by a dominant rebounding performance and balanced scoring attack. Unique Thompson was unstoppable inside, recording a phenomenal double-double with 21 points and 24 rebounds, including 18 defensive boards, while Monique Bobongie poured in a team-high 25 points on 8-from-16 shooting.
Mackay completely controlled the glass, out-rebounding SW Metro 58-37, including a decisive 22-5 advantage on the offensive boards that led to numerous second-chance opportunities. The Meteors converted these extra possessions into 56 points in the paint compared to just 32 for SW Metro. Grace Champion led the Pirates with 19 points, while Bronte Corke and Beyonce Bea each added 14 points in the loss. Amari Robinson contributed a well-rounded performance for Mackay with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists as the Meteors maintained their position near the top of the NBL1 North standings.
Northside Wizards vs Sunshine Coast Phoenix — Watch the Replay
The Sunshine Coast Phoenix secured a comfortable 73-56 victory against the Northside Wizards at Northside Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday, showcasing a dominant defensive effort. Shannon Ryan led the Phoenix with a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds while adding three blocks, controlling the paint throughout the contest.
Northside struggled offensively, shooting a dismal 28.6% from the field and committing 22 turnovers that Sunshine Coast converted into 14 points. The Phoenix dominated the rebounding battle 60-44, with Erin Bollmann recording her own double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds along with four assists and four steals. Mia Byrne provided a spark off the bench with 14 points, including 4-from-6 from three-point range. For the Wizards, Courtney Virgo led with 14 points and Saskia Gunness added 12 points and 14 rebounds in the losing effort. Sunshine Coast led for over 37 minutes and pushed their advantage to as many as 30 points during a comprehensive performance.
