Southern Districts vs Cairns — Watch the Replay

Southern Districts defeated Cairns 104-90 at Trinity Ford Stadium in a high-scoring affair. Kyle Adnam delivered a stellar performance with 31 points, including 14-from-15 from the free-throw line, while Tamuri Wigness added 22 points on exceptional 8-from-11 shooting. Blake Jones contributed a double-double with 22 points and eight rebounds for the visitors.

The victory saw Southern Districts take control with a 14-point lead at one stage, capitalizing on their dominance on the offensive glass with 17 offensive rebounds. Despite Cairns getting 22 points from Kody Stattmann and 17 from Curt Ah Wang, who connected on five triples, they couldn't overcome the visitors' efficient offense and second-chance scoring. Southern Districts converted 19 free throws compared to Cairns' 13, which proved decisive in the final margin.

Logan secured a hard-fought 90-87 win against Ipswich at JBS Stadium in a game that featured 41 lead changes. Callum Dalton led Logan with 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Matt Kenyon also recorded a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards. Zac Triplett added 16 points, including four three-pointers for the visitors.

Ipswich was paced by Lamar Patterson's impressive double-double of 24 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. The home team struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 19.2 percent on three-pointers compared to Logan's 37 percent. Despite forcing 11 turnovers and getting 15 points from Jason Ralph, Ipswich couldn't hold on as Logan's balanced attack and superior three-point shooting ultimately made the difference in this nail-biter.

Mackay outlasted SW Metro 95-89 at Mackay Basketball Stadium behind Jerron Jamerson's dominant 33-point performance. Jamerson shot an outstanding 13-from-18 from the field while adding five rebounds. Jaxon Brenchley and Cameron Goldfinch each contributed 18 points for the home team, with Goldfinch adding eight rebounds.

SW Metro's Dragan Stajic recorded a rare triple-double with 25 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, while also adding five steals in a losing effort. Roman Siulepa added 16 points and seven rebounds off the bench for the visitors. Mackay's defense forced 17 turnovers and converted them into eight points, while their efficient three-point shooting (42.9 percent) helped them maintain their lead despite being outrebounded 46-35. The victory improves Mackay's position in the NBL1 North standings as they prepare for their next matchup against Brisbane.

Sunshine Coast vs Northside — Watch the Replay

Sunshine Coast dominated Northside 85-68 at Northside Indoor Sports Centre with a balanced offensive attack. Earnest Ross led the way with 18 points and five rebounds, while Erik Kafritsas added 17 points including 7-from-8 from the free-throw line. Jamaal Robateau and Deshawn Ross-Paiwan each scored 14 points for the visitors.

Northside struggled offensively, shooting just 34.6 percent from the field despite Tyler Williams' 19 points and Jed Richardson's efficient 15 points on 7-from-8 shooting. Josh Kunen recorded a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to overcome Sunshine Coast's stifling defense. The visitors led for over 36 minutes of game time, building a lead as large as 19 points while converting 18-from-23 from the charity stripe compared to Northside's 6-from-8.

Townsville secured a hard-fought 103-95 victory against Southern Districts at Townsville StarFM Stadium. Kuany Kuany delivered an outstanding performance with a double-double of 36 points and 11 rebounds, shooting an efficient 11-from-16 from the field and connecting on 13-from-16 from the charity stripe. For the visitors, Kyle Adnam scored a team-high 30 points and dished out nine assists in a stellar individual effort.

The home side shot an impressive 58.6 percent from the field, including a sizzling 52.2 percent from beyond the arc, with Chris Kann shooting a perfect 3-from-3 from deep. Despite Southern Districts gaining an advantage on the offensive glass (13-7), Townsville controlled most of the game, leading for over 39 minutes. Richard Peachey added 18 points for the Heat, while Jean-Luc Morel contributed 14 points off the bench for Southern Districts on perfect 5-from-5 shooting. The win keeps Townsville's momentum going as they prepare to face Northside in Round 8.
