NBL1 East standout Biwali Bayles has recommitted to the Sydney Comets for the 2025 season, following a stellar 2024 campaign where he led the team to the Preliminary Finals.

Dominant Guard Returns to Sydney

Biwali Bayles, one of the most dominant guards in the NBL1 East, has inked a deal to return to come back he average a remarkable 29.3 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game in 2024, earning multiple Player of the Week honours despite playing only 12 regular-season games.

Sydney Kings legend and Comets CEO Ben Magden was more than happy to gave the former Illawarra Hawks guard back in the fold.

"Biwali is not just an incredible player, but a positive role model for our community," Madgen said.

"We're excited to have him back with the Sydney Comets for the 2025 NBL1 season."

Magden emphasised the importance of Bayles' on-court presence, describing him as "one of the most dominant guards in the NBL1 East."

Commitment to Player Development

The Comets' management has shown a strong commitment to nurturing Bayles' talent.

"Coach Will Hill and the association are committed to supporting Biwali's growth and development, and we are pumped for Biwali to showcase his immense potential to the entire nation," Madgen added.

Will Hill has taken over from Lachie Longeran.

Bayles' impact extends beyond his impressive statistics. His leadership was crucial in guiding the Comets to the Preliminary Finals in the 2024 season, demonstrating his ability to elevate the team's performance in high-pressure situations.
